Roof: Rat and Mouse Bait blocks will be placed in the roof cavity/space which is accessed through the man hole inside your home. If you do not have an accessible manhole please let us know so we can discuss other ways of accessing this area.
Internal: Bait blocks will be placed in internal areas if this is deemed necessary. These areas could include behind the fridge, stove, washing machine, cupboards & behind furniture.(Lockable stations could be used for safety measures
Sub Floor: Bait blocks will also be placed in sub floor areas (under the house.
If these areas are accessible to pets or children, the baits must be placed in lockable boxes; this is for the safety of your pets and other wildlife. Read More
Externally: As rats and mice come from external areas before they make it into your house it is highly recommended to get the external areas treated especially coming up to the colder months where rats and mice can become a greater issue.
For external baiting we would recommend using lockable rodent stations as it not only protects pets, children neighbouring pests or wildlife they also protect the baits from rain – providing you with a longer protection.
Protecting your home…..

How does rat bait work?
Most rodent baits are anticoagulants which mean that the baits affect the rat or mice’s blood, by reducing the ability of blood to clot so they will bleed internally and die.
Rats or mice that have eaten the bait will usually die within 4-6 days after taking the bait.
Some rodent infestations may take longer to bring under control as larger populations would need longer to feed off the bait.
Preparing for a rodent treatment
Internally: Clean up before treatment, but do not remove the droppings so they can be identified if they are from a rat or mouse by one of our experienced exterminators.
If you have noticed entrance points where the rats or mice are gaining access to your home we strongly advice not to seal these entrance points off until the rat or mice infestation has been taken care of, otherwise you risk trapping them inside with no way of existing the house.
Externally:We highly recommend trimming away vegetation from your home. If there are over hanging trees these should be cut back to prevent rats & mice from using the branches as a ladder to get into the roof area.
You should keep all garbage in bins with tight fitting lids, or ensure the lids are always closed.
If you have noticed entrance points on the external part of your home we advise that you do not seal off these entrance points until the rat/mice infestation is under control.
What to Expect After a rat or mice pest control treatment
Increased Activity:It is common to hear or see an increase in rodent activity after the treatment has been done as the rats & mice will become attracted to the baits. This will subside over the next 3-4 weeks.
Do not seal off any entrance/exit points until the infestation is under control.
Where will the rat or mice die?
Where they die is something that we cannot control, however the baits use should force the rat or mice to go in search of water, pushing them outside.
There is no doubt that the dead rat or mouse is going to decay and leave a pretty bad smell.
In some casesthe carcasses can be found within the vicinity of their nest. However, we cannot guarantee that dead rodents will die in an accessible location. If this does happen there are methods we can put into place to eradicate the smell
